CommentsDevious Commentsthank you for the critique and the first one i got
very concise and yep i pretty much agree with that on everything and like you said i did became a whole lot more perfectionist over the years since my illustrations are usually with the sole intention of being turned into an artbook, a colorfull background would divert the viewers attention from the main focus which is the character overall i appreciate the critique and you we're fair eheh amote -- [link] underrated artists click here -> [link] Concept Art.org gallery ->[link] well, a colorfull background isn't quite a good option when the characters are in a static position like the most you do, but you should try to envolve them on a environment, their own. that should give a bigger perception of the characters and how they are, how they function etc.
your thing is some sort of "characters' introduction ", with that i mean, you only show them like that they were posing to photographers, giving the viewer a chance to meet them. Once in a while, you should draw/paint for example, scene fights, something with dinamic poses that gives us an opportunity to "explore" a little bit your book and the reaction of a character when encountering other, for a instance. while you can't/don't do that (about the bg) my advise is variation. Not only perpendicular lines but something that frames the image giving another view of it and individualizes each deviantion/character amote tanto <3 -- ...unless you call the pancakes beethoven Are you an underrated artist? then click here [link] and spread it through the dA touché
actually that shut me up i believe you are right in every aspect although i am more inclined for concepts as you are aware hence the posing for photographers positions sometimes sides i've shown you loads of stuff about what i mean/the look im looking for that is -- [link] underrated artists click here -> [link] Concept Art.org gallery ->[link] yes i do know but it doesn't make you less concept artist if you do some different pieces in terms of image but may give you variety and the people who look for these kinda of jobs can see what are you capable of.
again i know what you want to achieve and i must say you're closer than ever so be better than what you once idolize because the sky is not the limit XD just don't be satisfied when you really reach that goal and be there forever, always keep working and be the best! you know for me you're the best :> <3<3 -- ...unless you call the pancakes beethoven Are you an underrated artist? then click here [link] and spread it through the dA |
Despite of some little things such as the breasts placed too high, according to the painting, and the back line, this deviation shows perfectly how perfeccionist you've become through the time.
To finish, the white background doesn't give an great impact to the viewer, but you know that, so you framed it with those lines that makes up for the empty space. An excellent deviation, in my opinion and a very good representative of all your work
